Best insulin syringes (brand comparison)

I've been using BD 0.5cc 29g 1/2" for ~2 years. No complaints. But I'm hearing good things about EasyTouch and also seeing people on here use Nipro. Before I buy a box of 100 of something new, what's the actual honest take?

EasyTouch are fine for the price โ maybe 80% of a BD. Plunger occasionally sticks. Good backup when BD is backordered.

BD Ultra-Fine is the gold standard for a reason. Sharp, smooth plunger, consistent gauge. Pay the extra for them.

Nipro โ I like them. Slightly longer needle on some sizes. Go-to for IM.

From a pharmacy perspective: BD, EasyTouch, Nipro are the three that consistently pass QC. Anything else is a coin flip. Gauge accuracy matters.

Great, sticking with BD and maybe picking up EasyTouch as backup. Thanks all.

The real question nobody's asking is whether people are actually comparing these on the same protocol. Like are you doing subq vs IM with the same needle depth, same injection speed, same ambient temp? BD is fine but I've seen people blame the syringe when they're just inconsistent with technique. If you're already 2 years deep with BD and no issues, the marginal gain from switching is probably noise unless you've got a specific complaint.
