Carb cutoff before GHRH injection — how strict
29 posts
Protocol says no calories 2-3 hours pre-injection for GHRH compounds because elevated insulin blunts GH response. How strict does this have to be? Is 30 grams of carbs 90 min before going to kill my pulse?

Not kill, but meaningfully reduce. 30g carbs 90 min before pre-bed Ipa/CJC will cut your GH pulse roughly 30-50%. Protein/fat only are much less disruptive. The 2-3 hour rule is conservative — 90 min post-meal is acceptable if the meal wasn't carb-heavy.

The pre-bed dose is the one where you protect the window hardest. AM fasted is easier to get right. If midday dose is post-meal, that's the one to 'relax' on — still do it, just know it's weaker.

OK so dinner by 7:30, snack only if protein, pre-bed Ipa at 10. That works for my schedule.

Honestly the 30-50% reduction hexaclinic threw out there is pretty hand-wavy without context. Depends on insulin sensitivity, meal composition, what GHRH you're running, baseline cortisol. I got bloods done fasted vs 20g carbs 90min pre-dose and saw maybe 15% difference in my GH peak, but my buddy's was closer to 40%. Point is you need your own data to know if you're actually losing meaningful gains or just following bro-science orthodoxy. The conservative window exists for a reason but if you're not measuring it you're basically guessing.
