Selank for work anxiety vs a benzo for work anxiety

Obviously different risk profiles. But for mild, functional, "meeting-triggered" anxiety, has anyone compared Selank to, say, low-dose clonazepam or buspirone?

Not looking for a prescription. Looking for people who've actually had access to both and formed an opinion on the subjective difference.

Had access to both in different seasons. Benzo: clear acute sedation and anxiolysis, significant cognitive cost, tolerance and dependence concerns. Selank: softer effect, no cognitive cost, no dependence concern, probably smaller absolute effect on severe anxiety.

For functional pre-meeting anxiety Selank is the better tool. For panic disorder Selank is a toy compared to proper treatment. Match the tool to the severity.

Buspirone is another option with no dependence profile if you want a prescription route. Selank isn't the only non-benzo game in town.

Thanks. Matches my read. Sticking with Selank for the use case.

Also worth flagging: the anxiolytic literature in humans for Selank is thin but the acute-safety profile is clean. Benzos have a ceiling on how long you can use them responsibly that Selank doesn't.

Middle-of-the-road answer that actually helped me pick. Selank it is for the pre-meeting flutter.

ran Selank for like 4 weeks before a big presentation cycle and honestly it took the edge off without making me feel flat or foggy. Benzos would've worked faster but I was worried about the habit thing and didn't want to be dependent on clonazepam just to get through Thursdays. The Selank was more subtle, less "I don't care anymore" and more "yeah this is manageable," which is what I actually needed.
