Medial meniscus tear, small, non-surgical per ortho. Knee swells after hiking. Running BPC protocol 8 weeks.
Me: 41M, active hiker. Baseline pain with squat 5/10, swelling after exertion 4/10.
Stack:
- BPC-157 500mcg subq 2x/day AM/PM
- BPC-157 250mcg local around knee 2x/week
- 8 weeks
Continuing normal PT exercises.

Week 2: Squat pain 4/10. No side effects. Local injection was mildly uncomfortable, bruised slightly.

Meniscus responds surprisingly well to BPC even though it's cartilage not tendon. Keep going.

Week 4: Squat pain 2/10. Hiked 8 miles yesterday with only minor swelling — previously would've been a 4/10 swell.

Week 6: Squat painless. 10 mi hike, zero swelling. Have to consciously remember I have a tear.

Week 8 wrap-up: zero pain on any normal activity. Dropped local injections after week 6 as planned, subq ran full 8. Going to stop both and see if it holds.

Post-cycle 2 weeks: no return of symptoms. Did a steep 12mi loop today, feels fine. Closing this one.

Nice close. These short clean logs are almost more useful than the dramatic ones.

Solid results man. The local stuff probably helped but curious if you think the subq alone would've done it. Either way good call stopping and actually tracking what sticks around vs what was just the protocol doing heavy lifting. Meniscus rehab logs where people don't jump straight back to full load are always worth checking.
