32F, on 1.0mg sema for 10 months. Partner and I want to start trying in 6 months. Looking for peer experiences on how long people wait after stopping sema before attempting to conceive. Label says 2 months minimum washout. Anyone waited longer / had discussions with OB about this?

Not medical advice and I'm not your OB. Label is 2 months. Many providers use 3 months for cushion. The relevant clinical concern is tail-end drug exposure during early embryogenesis — animal data suggests risk. Discuss with your OB specifically, not a forum.

Separate but relevant: weight loss from GLP-1 can restore ovulation in people who had anovulation from obesity. Some people get pregnant faster than expected. Have contraception sorted during and immediately after taper if TTC is 6+ months out.

Friend in my circle came off sema, waited 3 months per her OB, conceived month 5 post-stop. Healthy pregnancy. N=1 anecdote but the 'wait a cycle past what label says' pattern is common.

Locking this is not on the table but adding a note — this is one of those topics where the value of personalized medical guidance is much higher than forum consensus. Your OB, specifically, knows your whole picture. Use us for peer experience, not protocol.

honestly the 3 month thing seems to be the sweet spot from what i've seen people talk about. gives you peace of mind and you're still on track for your 6 month timeline anyway
