Am I reading this cortisol wrong?

AM fasted cortisol came back 22.4 mcg/dL. Lab ref 4.3-22.4. So literally at the top of the range.

I'm running ipamorelin 300mcg bid for 10 weeks. No sleep issues, no anxiety spikes. But 22.4 right at the ceiling is a little worrying. Is this the ipa?

6:45am. So that's probably most of it.

Ipamorelin is specifically designed to NOT bump cortisol โ€” that's its whole selling point vs GHRP-6 and hexarelin. A reading at the top of the reference range on ipa is almost certainly NOT the drug.

What time exactly was the draw? AM cortisol peaks 6-8am. A 6:30am draw will run 25-40% higher than an 8:30am draw.

Yeah. Cortisol CV is also ~10-15% on top of the diurnal variation. A 22.4 at 6:45am is basically 'normal healthy person who woke up on time'.

Okay, panic averted. Thanks.

Yeah dude, I had the exact same freak out a few months back. Ran my cortisol same time of morning and hit like 21.8, immediately thought something was wrong. But once I realized I was testing at like 6:50am and everyone was hitting me with the diurnal variation thing it made sense. Ipamorelin really doesn't mess with cortisol the way the heavier stuff does, so you're probably fine.
