KPV — alpha-MSH fragment for gut inflammation, any experiences?

KPV is a three amino acid fragment of alpha-MSH (lys-pro-val) with anti-inflammatory properties in gut models. Some IBD sufferers are using it oral (enteric coated) or rectal to target local gut inflammation. Unusual in that it's one of the few peptides where oral is plausibly the right route.

Anyone using this for IBS/IBD symptoms? Dose, route, results? Not medical advice stuff — just community experience.

KPV is one of the more interesting 'unexplored use case' peptides. The gut anti-inflammatory data is real in preclinical models. For oral route, it's one of the few where the tripeptide is stable enough to have a shot at reaching the colon intact, especially if enteric coated.

I ran KPV 500mcg oral daily for 6 weeks for mild IBS. Symptoms improved. Hard to separate from dietary changes I made at the same time. Not a controlled trial on myself.

Rectal administration for localized colonic effect makes the most mechanistic sense for distal gut. Not glamorous but probably the most direct delivery.
