Switching from tirze — 3 week washout or bridge?

Running tirze 7.5mg currently. Want to swap to reta in the next month. Question: do I just stop tirze, wait, and start reta? Or is there a bridging protocol?

Half-life of tirze is ~5 days so at ~3 weeks it's effectively gone. But reta half-life is 6 days and you start at 2mg — is there a risk of the tirze tail overlapping with the reta ramp and causing additive effects?

I did a 3-week washout before switching. Minor weight regain (~4lb) but the transition was clean. Tirze tail + reta 2mg ramp would have been GI-miserable in my experience.

3 week washout is the right call. You're trading a bit of regain for a clean titration. Worth it.

The bridging concept (reducing tirze while ramping reta) has no evidence base. Stick with washout. Simple, predictable kinetics.

Yeah just do the 3 week washout. Overlap sounds like a nightmare and you're only dealing with minor water weight anyway, bounces back quick once reta kicks in.
