Appetite crashed on tirz week 2. Hitting 80-90g protein daily when my maintenance target is 140+. Is this acceptable for a 12-week cut or am I eating into lean mass?

80-90g at maintenance target of 140+ is under-eating protein by 35%+. You will lose lean mass on this pattern over 12 weeks. Force it up. Whey shakes 2-3x daily are the easy fix.

Prelog the day. Breakfast shake (35g) + lunch shake (35g) + meat at dinner gets you to 110 without effort. Then supplement.

Liquid protein is your friend. Whey isolate + water hits easier than meat on tirz. Adjust dose down if you can't hit target.

Under-protein + GLP-1 + deficit is the lean mass trio that tanks DEXA results. Fix protein first or cut dose.

Ordering whey tonight. Will add two shakes daily.

Real talk, 80-90g for 12 weeks is pushing it if you actually care about preserving muscle. The appetite suppression is brutal but your body still needs that protein signal, especially in a deficit. Liquid protein is genuinely easier to get down on tirz than people think, whey isolate or even just adding a protein powder to coffee or oats gets you halfway there without the mental block of eating another chicken breast. If you're already down 35% from target, that's the gap you need to close first before worrying about anything else.
