Stalled 11 weeks at 1.7mg — dose hold, step up, or switch to tirze?

Weight flat for 11 weeks on 1.7mg sema. Same diet, same training. 5lb range oscillation but no net loss. Three options: 1) hold and wait, 2) step to 2.4, 3) switch to tirzepatide. Has anyone switched from stalled sema to tirze and seen new loss?

Before switching drugs: what's your actual kcal intake? An 11-week stall at any GLP-1 is usually 'calories crept up' more than 'drug stopped working.' Log everything for 14 days to scale, then decide.

Switched at a similar stall point. Sema 1.7 -> tirze 7.5. Lost 11lb in the first 6 weeks on tirze. Dual mechanism (GIP+GLP-1) genuinely pulled where sema alone had plateaued. N=1 but it matches what others have reported.

I'd try a 2-week full break before switching. Sometimes receptors resensitize and the same dose works again after a pause. Cheaper than switching molecules.

The 'stall' question almost always decomposes into: maintenance calories dropped with weight, and you haven't reduced intake to match. Your body at -50lb needs ~15-20% fewer kcal than at start. Drug suppressing appetite doesn't mean you're eating fewer calories than you burn at the new weight.
